What are Gig Buddies Group Social Events?

Gig Buddies group social events are hosted by the GB team so that all signed-up participants and volunteers in the Gig Buddies project can catch up and do fun stuff in a group setting.

Monthly group social events are held all over Metro Sydney and Central Coast.

The main focus of the Gig Buddies project is to "buddy-up" participants and volunteers so they can catch up and go to their own events together.

pairing buddies.png

Gig Buddies group social events are a "bonus" way for participants to meet people and socialise.

All group social events are run as "not-for-profit".

Participants only pay for a group social event if they need to cover the cost of admission tickets, venue hire and/or catering.

Group social events are included* as part of being in the Gig Buddies project.

* participants pay for their own food and drinks  (unless a catered event)

What time does it end? 9pm

(*not an actual "ticket". Your name will be on the door. A physical ticket or e-ticket will not be sent to you)

Tell me about the gig: We're turning TEN! Join us as we party at Sydney's spectacular Maritime Museum.

We’ll be letting our hair down at the iconic venue, celebrating from 6 - 9pm. On the night, partygoers can expect our usual tidings: plentiful food (canapés), live music and door giveaways.

And we're also providing the perfect backdrop to our birthday extravaganza: courtesy of our party vantage point, attendees will be able to soak up the sights and sounds of Vivid Festival.

Whether you’re based in Sydney or on the Central Coast, we invite you dust off those dancing shoes and join us.

Tell me more about the food and entertainment:

🎧 More will be announced about the music, but expect plenty of surprises and the odd party banger!

🍽️ We're currently putting the finishing touches to our menu.

🎉 As we're turning TEN we would like to extend the invite to families and supporters of the project.

To those who have been part of our journey (we're thinking parents, family members, past buddies or volunteers), you are welcome to purchase a ticket and join us at the Maritime.

The more the merrier!

👕 To mark the occasion, exclusive Gig Buddies' ten year old merchandise will also be available to purchase.

🏆 As always, we’ll be giving away three $50 gift vouchers, courtesy of our lucky door prize. Everyone who joins us at the Maritime Museum will be given a number. Be sure to hold on to your ticket!

🌟 We’re offering our existing bunch of buddies (buddies and volunteers) the chance to win a FREE DOUBLE PASS to our birthday party.

Simply refer a volunteer and you’ll go in the hat to win two tickets.

The new volunteer must submit a completed application via this weblink (https://www.gigbuddiessydney.org/volunteers) for the referrer to go into the hat.

We have one double pass to give away. The more referrals, the more times your name will go in the hat!

Ticket price: The ticket price covers venue hire, food and entertainment. Attendees pay for their own drinks.

Meeting spot: Meet us inside the venue. We're partying in the Ben Lexcen Terrace
